Alligator

Found in the southern United States, the America Alligator is a fresh water species and less aggressive than its crocodile counterparts.

It has a short stout head and smooth scales without the sensory receptors makes the alligator skin instantly recognisable. The alligator is the preferred skin for watch straps, its distinctive squared scales and the marked contrast between the belly and the flanks.
